Full-range CPS histogram with Inst.val
The updated software refines the CPS graph in several ways. It supports the full CPS range and automatically scales the vertical axis, keeping the graph readable even when CPS reaches 6000. A new instantaneous-data view exposes Inst.val, the instantaneous maximum, so you can capture radiation peaks and improve X-ray measurement speed.
Electrical and dynamic performance (2024 model)
- Anode-voltage dead-time recovery is reduced from 400 µs to 50 µs, matching sensitive Geiger tubes with shorter dead times.
- An integrated inductive boost converter replaces the transformer. The voltage-management circuit controls Geiger-tube operating voltage more precisely and provides better parameter consistency.
- Starting with V4.5, the firmware adds dynamic dead-time control with enforced limits to suppress false pulses; background readings no longer show spurious spikes.
